Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP)

service2

What is a SWPPP? If your project is disturbing one or more acres of soil or if your project disturbs less than one acre but is part of a larger common plan of development that in total disturbs one or more acres, you are required to obtain coverage under the General Permit for Discharges of Storm Water Associated with Construction Activity. More commonly known as the Construction General Permit.

The Construction General Permit requires the development and implementation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). The SWPPP must list Best Management Practices (BMPs). Project owners and contractors use the Swppp plan to prevent polluted Storm Water runoff from leaving the construction site.

We specialize in coordinating with contractors, agencies and owner's to complete and submit SWPPP's in a timely and accurate manner. We ensure BMP's chosen are in compliance with all local and state permits. And follow through to guarantee any agency comments are addressed quickly to help streamline the overall project schedule.

We can help you throughout ALL aspects of your SWPPP needs, including:

  • Site visit & initial assessment
  • Creating the complete SWPPP document (hard and electronic copies)
  • Creating the required Water Pollution Control Plan/Erosion Control Plan to be included with each SWPPP
  • Identifying the risk level of the project & required mitigation measures to guarantee compliance with state and local laws
  • Coordination with local jurisdiction reviewing the SWPPP to address any specific comments and/or revisions at no additional cost
